About Us
Emmanuel Christian Academy has been a member of the Association of Christian Schools International since we first began. This helps us link up with other Christian schools and is a great resource for daily functions. At this time, we are the only Christian school in Kingman. The staff here at ECA is blessed to be able to serve the Lord each and every day.
Mission Statement
Our mission at Emmanuel Christian Academy is to provide quality, Bible-based education in a safe and nurturing environment.
History
Emmanuel Christian Academy was created and established in August of 2000 according to the Biblical statute to "...bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord". Ephesians 6:4
The school is founded upon our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and we are dependent upon His strength, wisdom, discernment and guidance every moment of the day. Emmanuel is our ministry and "mission field".
Philosophy
The school's philosophy of education is based on the belief that Christian education is primarily a parent/family responsibility. (Prov. 22, Eph. 6:1)
The home is the center of a child's training. The church and the Christian school act as supplements to the ministry of the home, providing assistance to the parents and acting as representatives of them.
Christian education is oriented to the whole person so spiritual, emotional, social and physical growth opportunities must be integrated into the academic environment of the entire school, inside and outside the classroom. Field trips, recess, lunchtime, etc. are opportunities to educate. We encourage the children to be a reflection of the image of Christ to everyone with whom they come in contact. We also encourage parents to be very involved in the child's training in and out of school.
Parent Testimonials
"My kids really like it (ECA) and they are doing well. I think the teachers challenge & motivate them to do their best and they respect their teachers. I love that they are learning God's word in every subject and memorizing it. There is not a day that they wake up and say, "I don't want to go to school." I am so thankful for Emmanuel and its teachers. It was a great choice for our family."
- Teri Keener
"Our children can learn about the word and not be afraid they will get into trouble. They can pray, sing worship songs and be accountable to one another."
- Veronica Ziegler
"I can't say enough praise of the staff at ECA. As grandparents recently recruited to raise 2 boys, we were appalled at the current public school system. It was obvious that our boys were not getting a good education, nor were our values and beliefs being supported. In just 6 weeks, the boys went from being unhappy and hating school to being excited about each new day. The teachers provide an atmosphere that encourages each child and instills in them a desire to learn. ECA is an excellent example of what education can and should be for the next generation."
- Deborah Conter
"My child gets the quality attention that she deserves."
- Brandy Ramirez
"The classes are smaller and the curriculum is more challenging. Best of all, the focus is on the children and God."
